My love for writing again came from when I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis which is an awful disease that is hard to see, My testimony is always that that day the good lord turned off one side of my brain because I was an accountant. That love for writing was inspired by my middle school teacher who saw the potential of storytelling inside of me. I wrote my first book which developed into this business, Little Authors, allowing other kids to become authors of their own stories. I think if you provide children with opportunities to shine, they are going to learn to believe in themselves, which is far greater than any words of encouragement that you can give them. Developing imagination is at the center of our mission at Little Authors
I tell kids no matter what is going on in your life, if you use your imagination to imagine great things, you are never going to be sad, Their imagination is powerful, and I think kids just need to be reminded of that. And this is the place where they can do that.
